Phlebotomist – Full-time

Draws blood and collects other specimens, including timed specimens, from patients or donors in clinic for analysis or other medical purposes.  Assembles equipment according to requirements for specified tests or procedures. Converses with patient to allay fear of procedure. Properly documents lab specimens and requisitions; maintains lab records, assists in logging lab results and notifying medical staff of abnormal results. Maintains lab supplies; orders as needed. High school diploma or GED required; prefer instruction and/or experience in a medical or clinical assistant or technician program. Prefer at least six months experience in public health, community health, or outpatient setting.

Dental Assistant/Registration – Full-time

Position will provide both front desk and dental assistant services.  Front desk will greet and route patients/ visitors, notifying providers when their patient  arrives; will provide phone coverage, schedule appointment as needed; will adjust/cancel patients at provider’s request; will as needed assist dentist during examination and treatment of patients. Prepares patient by recording medical and dental histories and taking vital signs, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays and prepares materials. Expose dental diagnostic x-rays. Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs. Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by Dentist.  Record treatment information in patient records.

Must be proficient in Microsoft office and have the ability to multi-task and transition from front desk to back office; must to courteous, a team player with exceptional customer service skills.\

This position requires one year of experience in dental assisting or completion of a training program for dental assistants. Must be in good standing with the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry.  Current Oklahoma X-ray certification, coronal polishing certification and knowledge of Electronic Dental Health Record and dental practice management software required. Must be Microsoft Office proficient. Sealant certification a plus.

Custodian

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is looking for an full-time energetic team member to join it’s team.

The daily janitorial duties include emptying waste receptacles, sweep, dusts or wet mops floors. They will clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, water fountains and telephones. Replenishes supply of towels, toilet tissue and soap in each restroom. Washes windows at receptionist desk and patient entry areas. Disinfects chairs and reception desk surfaces in lobby and other departments; disinfects tables in examination rooms to ensure sanitation and maintains all equipment and supplies used by custodial staff.

Candidate must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Experience in operating cleaning tools and powered waxing and buffing equipment; high school or GED preferred.

Certified Coder – Full-time

Reviews and verifies accurate codes are assigned by clinicians to claims following the standards of ethical coding, developed by the American Heath Information Management Association (AHIMA), American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC) and by the ICD-10-CM coding conventions, official coding guidelines, and rules established by the American Medical Association. Identifies missing diagnosis codes, procedure codes, and modifiers based on visit data in the electronic health record. Verifies appropriate E&M codes are assigned by clinicians. Consults with clinicians to clarify when code assignments are not straightforward or, missing or if documentation in the medical record is inadequate or unclear. Continually enhances and maintains coding skills through continuing education to stay familiar with changes,

guidelines and regulations. Requires high school diploma or GED, Certification in Medical Coding two years of medical billing/coding experience preferred, typing proficiency of 30 wpm or more, and knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance and major coding systems.

Pharmacy Technician

The pharmacy technician will be under the supervision of a pharmacist. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Routine pharmacy functions such as receive prescriptions from patients or providers; prepare and dispense medications; maintain patient profiles; provide excellent service to patients at the pick-up window; answer patient and provider phone calls; assist with inventory management; operate and maintain automated pharmacy equipment; participate in department quality improvement activities; conduct monthly medication storage area inspections; and provide various technical support services as deemed necessary by the Pharmacy supervisor to maintain the consistency of overall Pharmacy services.

Prefer current Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license. Experience with Electronic Health Records and Outpatient pharmacy preferred. Willing to train unlicensed as well, please inquire.
