VIP (Volunteers for Indian People)
Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) has been providing health care to urban Indians in the greater Oklahoma City area since 1974. Over 18,000 patients of all ages have come to rely on the Clinic’s professional team of physicians, nurses, and support staff to provide comprehensive ambulatory care.
OKCIC’s greatest need for volunteers lies in the following areas:
Winter coat/Thanksgiving food baskets/Christmas toy distribution (Oct-Nov-Dec).
TURTLE Camp: Day camps held throughout the year designed to instill healthy behaviors in children.
Celebrity Weekend Benefit: Oklahoma Kidz Charities Foundation Weekend is a weekend filled with bowling, silent and live auction and a a new addition of Topgolf.
Annual Red Feather Gala: The Gala has quickly become a major event in downtown Oklahoma City. Dinner, dancing, silent auction, and original Native Art draw a large and enthusiastic crowd.
Walk for Wellness: Established in 1997 to encourage family physical activity and promote healthy lifestyles.
Other Projects: Maintenance/Construction, Children’s Health Fair and special events.
