Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is named 2017 Best Places to Work in Oklahoma

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic has received this award seven times in the past nine years.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit clinic providing services to American Indians in central Oklahoma, was recently selected as one of 24 small businesses for 2017’s Best Places to Work in Oklahoma. OKCIC has been honored with this title for seven years, including 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

The Journal Record teamed up with the Best Companies Group to honor Oklahoma businesses and organizations excelling in creating quality workplaces. Companies were selected based on employee interviews and a look at their workplace policies, practices and demographics.

OKCIC offers a competitive benefits package to employees, including low-deductible medical and dental insurance plans, generous paid time off, casual dress days and paid leave for employees returning to school. OKCIC also encourages healthy living by offering access to an on-site gym with cardio and weight equipment, one-on-one workout sessions with personal trainers, weekly yoga and aerobics classes, and reimbursement for physical activity fees and expenses including Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, Redbud Classic, Heart Walk and other community events.

“There are many perks to working for Oklahoma City Indian Clinic,” Monica Tippit said, OKCIC’s Chief Human Resources Officer. “We take care of our employees so that they can then take care of our patients.”

Best Companies Group handled the overall registration and survey process, analyzing the data and using its expertise to determine the final ranking. To be considered, companies had to have both a facility and 25 or more permanent employees working in the state of Oklahoma.
